I bought 5 Lenovo ThinkCentre M58P SFF (6137A1U) desktop computers on. Upon their arrival, I noticed that they came with Vista Pro. pre-installed. Our software doesnt work well on that OS, so I called my provider and requested a way to downgrade to XP Pro. They explained that I needed to call Lenovo and request an XPP Recovery CD and that I needed to pay close to $60.00 dollars for it. I did, and have been waiting for those Cd's ever since. They say only Microsoft provides those CD's, nobody else.
In the meantime, we can not afford bying new computers, we have 5 new employees pretty much waiting around for those CD's that will never arrive. I've called Lenovo around 200 times, and they always come up with the same answer, 'only Microsoft provides that CD'. What should I do??????? If it were me I would call my credit card company (because that is how I buy electronics) and tell them the purchase in in dispute and you want to put in a complaint to get your money back. I would then call Lenovo and tell them you placed a complaint and that they can either provide you the recovery disks or you will return the product (laptops).
Regardless of where the product originates, it is Lenovo's responsibility to provide you the product(s) (recovery disks) that you have purchased from them.
